8 Oct		Received 10 MK 2A River Patrol Boats and began the arduous task of outfitting.
20 Oct		River Division 515 officially relieved River Division 552 and commenced patrolling the Dong Nai and Long Tan Rivers, and the Nha Be Harbor.
21 Oct	114 115	Medevaced one wounded VN from XS 005754 to Nha Be for treatment.
22 Oct	108 109	Embarked two U. S. Navy historians and one Australian colonel and conducted a two hour indoctrination patrol. This patrol also transported EOD team divers to COORD. YS 021653. Divers searched for items thrown into river by suspected VC earlier. Negative results. Later same patrol medevaced one wounded VN soldier from YS 010701 to Nha Be.
23 Oct	114 115	Inserted intelligence squad at 944794. Later patrol extracted team with one VC prisoner and returned to Nha Be.
25 Oct	106 107 108 109 110 111 114 115	Conducted a special 8 boat patrol inserting 80 VN troops and 5 U. S. Advisors at coord. 966650. Force divided into 4 boat groups and PBR's 8109/8111/8114/8115 recieved B-40 and heavy automatic weapons fire from coord. 984633 to 981619. Fire was returned with unknown results. Minor damage to 4 PBR's was incurred with 4 U. S. Navy WIA (slight). This unit then proceeded to extract 40 VN's. PBR's 8106/8107/8108/8110 extracted 40 VN troops at coordinates 966650. Then, after airstrikes on earlier fire fight scene, transited area reconning by fire.
28 Oct	106 107	Inserted and supported SEALS at 064948. Negative contact.
29 Oct	110 111	Embarked 24 VN's and 2 U.S. advisors at Can Gio and inserted at 102562. Negative contact.
30 Oct	106 107	Inserted 29 PRU's at 980732 as part of an 8 boat operation. At 1745 extracted and returned to Nha Be. Negative results.
31 Oct	114 115	Inserted 20 VN troops at coord. YS 098703. Patrol recovered two VC bodies and one mini-gun lost earlier from helo. Extracted troops at 1600. Negative contact.
