This is the "wild, red, outlaw river" as it flows through the 170 miles of Glen Canyon.  Beauty like no other in the world.  Green glens of tamarisk, cottonwood, maiden hair fern, and flowing cool springs line the river banks.  Unrivaled side canyons; mysterious, sinuous and sensuous, inviting . . . overwhelming when you enter.  You will discover that you will never find words to describe what you see, what you experience.

Here, Nature is a sculptor with a sensibility no human could match . . . and a painter with a brush and palette no mere human could ever wield . . . a composer of a kind of opera sung by canyon wrens, mourning doves, and tree toads and set on some otherwordly stage that is . . . what you see, Glen Canyon.
