WELCOME TO THE NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT

 SCHOLARS ASSOCIATION

The NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOLARS ASSOCIATION exists to encourage and promote scholarly discussion, research, writing, and publication outside of formal institutions of higher education, for individuals who are actively pursuing serious scholarly research. We encourage such scholarly and collegial activities by:

• conducting bi-monthly programs
• forming reading and study groups
• disseminating information regarding publications, lectures, grants, jobs, events of interest, etc.,
• encouraging public awareness of the accomplishments and problems of independent scholars
• providing an institutional affiliation, resources, and special services to members.
