Center for Outpatient Medicine

On the main floor of The Center are three linear accelerators, with expansion area for a fourth. Concrete walls ranging in thickness from 3’ -0 “to 7’ -0" bind the linear rooms. The ceiling is cast with high density concrete to reduce the thickness to 6’-0", eliminating differential elevations on the floors above. Thick perimeter walls are further utilized as main shear walls for the 6-story structure to mitigate their high costs. Four thousand pound steel doors seal the rooms for treatment use in this state-of-the-art cancer treatment area.
