Blue Mountain Hospital

The Blue Mountain Hospital project calls for the replacement of the existing hospital with a 45,000 sf addition. As sections of the addition are completed, the “old” hospital will be demolished in corresponding phases.

Construction began on May 3, 2001, with anticipated completion date in September, 2002. Blue Mountain Hospital will incorporate natural elements to blend with the surrounding environment. Extensive use of windows will take advantage of natural lighting as well as assist in incorporating the beauty of the high desert with the interior design of the hospital. The entry will include an atrium and the concourse will have 15’ceilings with massive open beams. All remaining ceiling heights will be 9’ with glu-lam beams. Open beam trusses and native mason rock will also be highlighted throughout the hospital.

In addition to the traditional facilities, Blue Mountain will feature an Emergency Services wing with two trauma rooms and three I.C.U.s. and labor and delivery suites.
