Purpose
The Clatsop County Genealogical Society’s purpose is to aid individuals to begin, develop and improve genealogical pursuits.

Objectives
• To create and foster an interest in genealogy.
● Gather and preserve genealogical and historical data, particularly with regard to ancestors and founders
and early settlers of our country.
• Aid individuals in genealogical research and
compilation of family histories.
• To establish and maintain a genealogical library
through contributions and exchanges.

Clatsop County Genealogical Society’s
Genealogical Library
Our Library is now located in the Clatsop County Heritage Museum located at 1618 Exchange Street, Astoria, Oregon.
Hours: Tues-Friday 10AM-Noon/1PM to 3PM
The Museum is open Sat & Sun
Please note that our Library is NOT open
on Saturday or Sunday.  If you would like to visit the Genealogical Library and have the assistance of
someone from our society, please make an appointment by contacting us at seashells@pacifier.com.    Please
include your name, and a few choices of days and times when you can visit our library.  Please be patient for a response
because we are all volunteers. Thank you!

Programs & Workshops
Our Program Chairman does an outstanding job of scheduling speakers and organizing workshops designed to aid all genealogists in their pursuit of family history.

We encourage anyone who is interested in augmenting their family history data to submit queries to
Sali Diamond at diamondsbythesea@charter.net or mail your
query to our mailing address:  P.O. Box 1299, Astoria, OR 97103.
There is a modest charge for this service which will be explained to you when the scope of research is determined.
