This image was created by Gary Strong using a map, Oregon original scale 1:2,500,000 U.S.G.S. 1972 limited update 1990,  from the Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection combined and fitted using Adobe Photoshop® from a portion of the high resolution image "The Nighttime Lights of the USA" created by The Defense Meteorological Satellite Program depicting the lights from cities collected October 1994 - March 1995.
