Den Box

This den box is inside an enclosed deck (note the clear PVC panels to keep out wind and rain) and was used during the time our Serval lived outside (she started marking territory, and until we figured out that she was just as happy peeing on big old towels placed on plastic so the pee would not soak through to the carpet, she lived outside for about 8 months)

Outside dimensions are 30 wide by 48 long by 28 high, inside is about 4 inches less each way to allow for double wall construction and insulation

Floor and walls are double layer, with R-14 insulation between the layers

Half of the top is on hinges for cleaning

Doorway is 10x18 (Blanket for a flap in winter)

For an "outside" view, it even has a small (double pane, of course) window not used during house construction
