To continue using my talents to assist in the development and marketing of new electronic products.

EXPERIENCE:

• Product Specialist - Two years.  Working with customers, sales managers, sales reps, and field engineers worldwide, by phone and Internet e-mail.  Responsible for reviewing project specifications, and releasing to design center.  Also provided technical support during project quoting, and supported field engineers - finding answers to technical questions, providing support materials, documentation and resources, often on very short notice.
• Mask Design - Eight years, using L-Edit (by Tanner Research). Design of high-performance semiconductor probes using thin-film membrane technology. Lead designer, managing work load for myself and other designers. Primary design capture responsibility in group. Developed concept of design center Intranet for easier access to design resources, and helped to deploy it by creating content. Wrote many procedures and helped develop many others.
• Printed Circuit Design - Eleven years, the last eight using PADS-PCB and PADS-Perform on MS-DOS and Wintel platforms. Single- and double-sided, multi-layer, and flex circuitry, using through-hole and SMT technologies. Requested bids for and placed orders for prototype PC boards.
• Schematic Drafting - Nine years, the last six using OrCAD-SDT. Analog, digital, multi-sheet, custom part symbols. Used OrCAD as "front end" for PADS, embedding netlist information in schematics for extraction in Futurenet format.
• Electronic Technician - Over twelve years total experience. Familiar with common hand tools, and instruments such as: Oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, signal generators, etc. Have built prototypes of many kinds of instruments, using wirewrap, point-to-point, etc.
• Other experience - Helped train co-workers to effectively use Windows and MS-Office applications. Helped provide unofficial IT support for design center. Trained other designers to use L-Edit, PADS-PCB, and OrCAD-SDT. Sold PADS CAD software and trained users. Maintained computerized customer database (500+ records). Wrote procedures, specifications, and technical reports using various MS-DOS and Windows programs. Created web (HTML) pages using a variety of authoring tools. Wrote and published company newsletters, including page layout. Tested and reported on performance of prototype instruments. Experienced board drafter, and trained on AutoCAD. Updated and maintained company engineering libraries. Located and ordered hard-to-find parts and supplies. Requested bids for, evaluated quotes, and placed orders for Wintel-based computer systems and peripherals, including software, plotters and printers.
