We are a
non-profit, community owned, long-term care facility
offering a family concept of caring at multi-levels. Our
Board of Directors, Administration and Staff are
dedicated to providing excellence in care and quality of
life. Care is directed by the resident's personal, local physician and licensed professional personnel are on duty 24 hours a day to provide assistance with medications, meals, rehabilitative care and activities of daily living. Our Facility is licensed for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurances. Levels of Care include Residential, Intermediate, and Skilled. A wide variety of activities is available to serve the physical, social, spiritual, and recreational needs of our residents. A typical monthly calendar of events will include daily exercise classes, news and coffee hour, bingo, music, pet therapy, crafts, active and board games, gardening, Bible study, and religious services. An Auxiliary group and regular volunteers are active at the Facility. For the convenience of our residents, a licensed beautician operates a beauty shop on the first floor, where residents can make appointments to have their hair, nails, and even feet done. A Licensed Physical Therapists oversees our Physical Therapy program. We have trained Restorative Aides to assist residents to attain their highest level of functioning. A large dining and day room are located on each of our three floors. An outside recreation area is also available for residents. There is a large common room available on 4th floor for use of staff, residents and their families. Second floor provides a smaller room for residents to visit or share meals with guests. Our dietary department provides delicious, well-balanced meals three times a day, with special attention to the dietary needs of each individual. Our cooks are renowned for their home-made cookies and Finnish pastries. Psychosocial Services are provided to residents routinely with additional Mental Health Services, upon referral. Clatsop Care Center employs a Social Worker and works closely with Clatsop Behavioral Services and other providers in assessing and meeting the psychosocial needs of the residents. Clatsop Care Center offers training, on a regular basis, for Certified Nurse's Aides, Medication Aides, and Restorative Aides. Classes are available to all who meet the State Board of Nursing entrance requirements. Clatsop Care Center maintains a staffing ratio that exceeds the State and Federal requirements. Our Board of Directors, Administration, and Staff are dedicated to providing quality of care and quality of life for those persons entrusted to us for care on a short or long-term basis. |
