VOLUNTEER at Clatsop Care Center

The happiness and well-being of our residents is a top priority at Clatsop Care Center.  We want to do everything in our power to make them feel welcome, comfortable, and above all else, LOVED.  But to do this we need the help of volunteers.

Volunteer involvement in the lives of our residents can make a world of difference.  By talking, listening, sharing experiences, participating in activities or events, and playing games, volunteers can touch the hearts, minds and spirits of our residents.  Nurturing with warmth and closeness of friendship, they help us provide that extra special TLC.

Our volunteers are critical to the success of Clatsop Care Center’s mission.  When you join us as a volunteer, you will be a part of a dedicated team working “ to promote health, enhance well-being and enrich lives.”

How to become a volunteer

In order to become a volunteer at Clatsop Care Center you will need to:

• Fill out and return a Volunteer Application
• Read over the various Volunteer Opportunities  we have available and indicate on your application how you would like to get involved
• Consent to a criminal background check & TB test (provided by CCCHD at no cost to the volunteer)
• Attend a one-on-one interview with the Volunteer Coordinator
• Sign a Confidentiality Agreement
• Sign our Resident’s Bill of Rights
• Volunteer a minimum of 100 hrs (or at least 3-4 times per month)

Application to Volunteer

Once your application has been received, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to participate in a short interview.  During that time you will be provided with additional information about volunteering at Clatsop Care Center along with a tour of our facility.
