Charges and Services included in Daily Room
and Board are as follows:
· Room
· Meals and Snacks
· Social Services
· Nursing Services
· Feeding
· Incontinent Care
· Laundry and provisions of linens
· Housekeeping and activities
Nursing
Services include administration of medications and
oxygen, hand feeding, incontinent care, tray service,
etc. Charges also include items which are furnished
routinely and relatively uniformly to all residents
(gowns, paper tissue, etc.) and items which are stocked
at the nursing station (alcohol preps, cotton balls,
tongue depressors, etc.). Other items included are
medical equipment that can be used for individual
residents, but which are reusable and expected to be
available in a facility providing nursing care.
Ancillary Charges
Charges and services are considered Ancillary
if:
· services are directly identifiable to individual
residents, and;
· services are furnished at the direction of a physician
because of specific medical needs, and;
· either of the above are not reusable;
· or either of the above present a cost for each
preparation.
Ancillary Charges will be made for items that are not in
the daily room and board charges. The ancillary charges
will be itemized on the monthly statement which is mailed
at the end of each month.
