The Clatsop County Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and assist individuals in their genealogical research.

We promote interest in genealogy by having monthly meetings in the Flag Room of the Astoria Public Library located at 450 10th Street in Astoria.

The meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of every month from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Membership dues are $15.00 annually.

In the Astoria Library, we have contributed books to the genealogy section for use by all in our community. We also have individuals that have devoted much of their time and energy in the research of our area cemeteries in order to preserve accurate records of our local history.

To further advance the pursuit of genealogical research, our genealogical society has donated a computer, and several census index disks to the LDS family research center in Astoria for all genealogists to use pursuing research.

We have also scheduled well-known genealogical lecturers and authors to advance our knowledge in the field of family research. We will continue to seek out any individuals that can provide knowledge and expertise in this area.

We also encourage any member and non-member to submit their queries concerning their family history at no charge. These queries are sent to other genealogical societies and libraries through our exchange program.

We will also do research for genealogists with families in Clatsop County for a small contribution to our society. If you have queries, send them to our society address.

Send them to the following e-mail address.
